More new liveries for Avro York

Hi DaveB,
hope you are back from AVSIM
So let me tell you there are two more Avro Yorks in the virtual air:
The first one shows the York in BOAC's 1950s livery. Regarding the download counter a lot of you may have missed that classic outfit.
The second repainted aircraft shows Royal Air Force MW126 of 511 Squadron assigned to the personal use of Air Chief Marshal Sir Trafford Leigh-Mallory, the commander of Allied air operations during the Normandy landings. He commanded thousands of British and American aircraft involved in Normandy and helped to devise the controversial "Big Wing" tactic during the Battle of Britain.
The idea to this project, repainting the Avro York in the colours of MW126 and presenting her extraordinary history, was given to me by the Frenchman Daniel Durand who researched the history of that tragic aircraft disaster. This repaint is dedicated to the people who lost their life on board of MW126 on November 14, 1944, when it crashed in a blizzard into high ground at Le Rivier d'Allemont, near Grenoble, France.
Only a few people may know, that in Le Rivier d'Allemont you will find a small museum called "The York Mallory Room ", that tells the story of the death of Air Chief Marshall Sir Trafford Leigh-Mallory in the mysterious plane crash. Some parts of MW126 are still preserved there.
Regards
Hans
PS: Off to AVSIM again?
@Daniel: Many thanks. We both were deeply moved when working on this project.
