Just a heads up, Project Opensky's 747 100 and 200 version 4 models are available for download on their site. Not many repaints but Im sure it wont be long before somebody does a BOAC one :)

Hi Jonesy

I tried the prototype a couple of days ago

Looks nice but I was not impressed with the wing flex as it sat at the gate with the wings flapping up and down in a very unrealistic manner which was a pity..

The series will form the base fo a lot of paints in the older liveries.

No, and the flight dynamics were very strange : the ones I tried appeared to have a thrust / weight ratio comparable with an EE Lightning!

I did find the T/O run long and there was a marked reluctance to climb but I wasn't sure how much of that was me

Garry
were you flying the -100 because weren't they quite underpowered?

Hi Hinch

The prototype but I could barely get above 2,500 feet.

The 200 had improved power but the 100 was not underpowered in the true sense of the word. In fact I've never heard it referred to as underpowered. :dunno:

But I don't like the unrealistic wing flexing

Errr...there's no 741 Paintkit that I can see...

Edit:Whoops...Forgot that it's 100/200.D/L now.

Edit2: Only Problem is no Provision for the RB211s.

The BOAC 747 did not have the RB.211.they were 100

That was on the 200's which were not BOAC
