Having completed a few Bandit Enterprises enhancements to the panel, we thought a longish trip would be a good test of the final conversion:-

The stuff I had no idea what you on about was this
I found this old Government Surplus gauge to link up to the new fuel system. This is what shows on the VC right hand end of the panel if you index with Spacebar and then call SHFT+9...The RMI fits over the Gear Position indicator and the old DC3 fuel gauge appears over the clock. The rotary switch in the middle of it can be set to one of the four tanks and the needle shows the contents (knock off the zero for this aircraft and the quantity is about right!). The Bilge Bag tanks that I have fitted are the LEFT AUX and RT AUX...The MAINS are the tanks in the wings. I can't really give you this gauge as it belongs to Roy Chaffin's wonderful old R4D, but if you have ever had his fine aircraft then the gauge may be in your system. It is called "RCS-R4D-Fuel-Quantity-2k2-v1s.gau"...If you don't have it the gauge just won't show.
and this
In the climb now...set the autopilot to climb at 1800 fpm with full throttle and max RPM. Set that second left top gauge to read EGT rather than CHT and keep leaning the mixture to keep it at max temperature. Best done with CTRL+SHFT+F2 to lean or CTRL+SHFT+F3 to enrich (much more sensitive than mousing the red knob). You can also see what appears on the right end of the panel with SHFT+8...This time it is the FuelStatusGauge with all its clickable lights and switches which covers the clock. Since this picture I have also made SHFT+8 also show the RMI the same as SHFT+9...BTW you can see that the climb is burning 20 GPH.

James,
They do a set of circuits and landings and stay on the ground for about half an hour before charging off on their next leg. After they have gone on Wednesday I will work my way through a list of places on the way back, that I have not been to for a while...Forks, Diamond Point, Orcas Island to name a few...I notice that my route takes me close to some that interest me and I have never visited so I'll probably pop in on some of them too...Bear Gulch is one
