BAC One-Eleven APU operation

David Maltby really did an EXCELENT great job with the BAC One-Eleven.

I followed the tutorial (available in David's website), but there's one think that seems not to work as explained. In the beginning of the checklist, just after the "battery on", we have to put the APU Generator Control in the Tripped position:

But when I try to do this, the switch just came back to the "normal" position and the "GEN FAIL" lights never extinguishes. I'm doing anything wrong? Is that normal?

Another indicative that something's wrong is, if I ignore and continue with the checklist, after I start the APU, the needles of the voltage, cycles and amps don't move, showing low voltage, different of the tutorial image, that shows the needles moved more than half way with the Gen Fail lights off.

Just another question, that may be related with the first problem I had. After a few more items in the checklist, we need to put the Air Con Masters in APU position, and in the image of the tutorial:

Doing that would turn off the Master Valve lights, but they're staying on for me. Is anything wrong?

Thanks for any attention.

First
I'd make sure you have the latest updates
redownload them afresh
then see what happens

........But thats just me

Ah yes, the 1-11 tutorial needs updating to match the latest version of the model.
The last update made the generator switches more realistic.

Originally the gen switches worked as a basic two way On/Off toggle where 'TRIP' was off & 'NORM' was on.
Now the model uses the proper three way switching instead.
So where the checklist says 'APU Generator Control - Normal', it should now say 'APU Generator Control - RESET'.
That should then sort out the warning lights for you.

'TRIP' turns the generator off.
'RESET' turns the generator on.
After clicking either way, the switch returns to the central 'NORM' position.

Thanks for the answer David, I droped you an email because I was so excited to fly this bird.

But what about the "Air Con Masters", the Master Valve lights never turns off is related with the wrong generators operation?

I'll try what you suggest.

Thanks!
