Anyone who remembers the crash sequence on BBC 1's Tomorrows World opening titles might remember a clip of this test

There wa also one late on on a 707 or DC8 (Can't remember) to test special fuel which burnt at a lower temperature when ignighted outside the engine if memory serves?

Yep Ben

The anti misting fuel AMK I think it was called

They crashed a radio controlled Boeing 720.

With this it was just a ground run

They also destroyed a Constellation in a similar fashion and I remember a flood damaging some Piper Navajos on the line and the FAA had those to drop from towers on lines to test crash survivability.
