Thanks for the HU Trev
Is it me or, is the top part where the gearbox is, too short?
Windscreen looks too curved.....hard to tell

The oil cooler cover does look a bit short from that angle but I think it is about right.
The windscreen doesn't look too bad, I think its the nose which gives that impression. The top of the nose seems very flat there, it should slope down much more. These pictures of our HAS1 shows it pretty well.

Thanks James..just an impression but when you just see the top like that it doesn't look bad.
Like you say it could be a false impression given by the the nose of just the particular angle.
Looks quite nice overall

I've got some detail shots of the RAF SAR version, now a gate guardian at RAF Akrotiri. Happy to post them/email them if they're needed by a fellow repainter/modeller.

Hi Pops
Is that RAF SAR one a turbine version?

Garry,
I wouldn't know. If you are happy to give me your email address I will send you the photos (I'm in the office at the mo). I do recall it has quite a long snout and is in 84 Sqn SAR livery....

The Akrotiri one is a HAR.10.
None of the versions alphasim are doing (in this release anyway) are RAF.
There wasn't much difference between the S-55/HU-19A/HAS.22 and the HAS.1 and HAR.2 though. The rest had quite a few differences, mainly the bent boom on the Leonidies versions and obviously the nose on the gnome powered ones.
I'm surprised they're only doing the HAS.22 and not the British built series 1 versions too, since they were virtually identical. The only difference was an increase in weight which came from replacing all the american nuts and bolts with BA/BSF ones!
