Anybody catch that impressive bit of flying on the news today; a Japanese ANA pilot landing a Dash 8 whose nose gear failed to deploy. Major kudos to the pilot, a very nice landing. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asia-p ... 444819.stm

Please keep you hand from the Quote button, especially when the post you are quoting is right above yours!

It is becoming very annoying and irritating....well it is for me.

Oh there's plenty of accidents every day. Just look at the FAA's database for the US accidents. The reports are typically for the day before (i.e. reports on the 13th mostly occurred on the 12th, so when you're looking for a given day, just pull up the next day and you'll usually find it there. So far for yesterday, there's been 7 incidents reported.

In fact, another DHC-8 had a problem yesterday -

From the description, I'm guessing the APU had an uncontained failure for it to report as "Substantial" damage.

James: just get into the habit of pressing "Post Reply" instead of "Quote"

With a bit of training you might even be good at it, and even be able to quote properly, with removing unnecessary quoting and the lot ...or am I now being too ambitious?
