Was there, or will there ever be, a better looking jetliner than a VC-10?

Maybe a Concorde in the right conditions, but a Viccie never seems to be in bad conditions....

Nice shots Dan

I've taken the 10 to Carthage a couple of times. Interesting runway surface there isn't it

You can say that again!.... is it Tarmac? or what is it....really bumby...hit it with 160m/s while fumbling with the instruments....

Had a bit of trouble finding the exit.....

After I installed the CalClassics...most of my taxiways don't have lights anymore.....

Air France had to patiently wait until I a bit confused exited right onto the grass...back onto the RWY..found something that could have been a TWY...and finally after turning on those magnificent lilac lines brought me all the way to the stand... ;-)

Hi Dan,

The runway surface is listed as 'bituminus'. Sounds like it should be solid but is more akin to landing on the sea.. only difference being, you don't 'rock' when you're stopped

Btw.. I still have taxiway lights there :worried:

I have experienced the same phenomenon other places but the penny didn't drop.... so bitumen is the culprit! I should have known, being a civil engineer

Even tougher when the TWY's are bituminous, makes the trip to the RWY rather shaky...not for people with bad kidneys....

rg taxi-lights.... must be some other smart add-on I've installed then...quite tricky when arriving at night...

edit: I seem to remember that TWY-thing from one of the readme's in the CalClassics files....same with the stribes/lines....
