I laughed when one of the comments posted asked him if he was on a hill to take the shots. But the answer is that he was on a hill  Amazing!
He still needs some practice with his camera as the strong light and the contrasting backgrounds make the exposure difficult. Some of the aircraft are not surprisingly a little over or under exposed. Perhaps he should try Spot AE next time. Not that I could do any better but I enjoy being critical of pictures because hopefully it improves my own.
What do you other photographers think?

Could do with a load of motion blur and slower shutter in the case of the Herc
The top one does at least have some blur
Visible props and clear background make them look too model like.

Fantastic shots & a fantastic place too.
I thought it looked familiar & followed the link to the location of that place.
Amazed to find it really was the small 'mountain' that I sometimes used to climb up with the dogs on the way to our regular camping breaks near Barmouth.
We called it Puppy Mountain & didn't know it was a popular spot for plane spotters.
Did have a couple of Hawks fly under us the one time, so that explains that.
Well worth a stop off there just for the climb & views.

Puppy posing on the way up a few years back. She's just turned 10 now. Puppy is a nickname that stuck, real name Tess.
That's the valley behind where the planes come through.
View from the top showing the little car park below. Also has great views to the right from the top (left & behind aren't bad either
