As I have parted company with the museum...I see the Vixen at Bournemouth Aviation Museum is going back into RN livery. It's going to be VERY pretty! Looks like the foxy lady has found some new lingerie!

Not as yet (publically anyway!). Nice to see they had the sense to put in a repaint clause in the original sponsorship contract with RB.

James,
The old red and yellow colours were from its career in testing after it left the Navy. Correct Navy colours are dark grey and (off?)white, possibly with a black radome.

Right On Toby

What sort of Navy do you think we have James.. yellow and red indeed!!
Here's a rough idea of what she should look like. Sadly, the paint is faded quite a lot due to it living outside but you get the idea..

Yup.. there are quite a few differences between the 110 and the FAW2 (the 110 being a much cleaner, more graceful and generally better looking aircraft IMO) but those shots give a better indication of the correct colours

Nice shots Toby.. well found

Well.. that's one way of putting it James

She actually served as a target tug after her 'active' service had finished and being painted bright yellow and red is a good camouflage to say 'Don't shoot at me.. shoot at the target I'm towing'!!
