[BAC-1-11] Airspeed zet to zero

I just noticed that sometimes the airspeed on the bac-1-11 gets set to zero in mid flight. This makes things somewhat tricky! Has anyone else seen this, and how to fix?
Not sure it's important but just in case: i fly using FSNavigator (only for route info, not for managing the autopilot) and Activesky for the weather. I fly 99% from the VC.
Thanks

Hmm, the trick seems to be to force an overspeed, it makes the air speed register again (and then put the brakes on!!!)
Any idea why it's happening though?

Not seen that & I've flown it a lot.
The thing that springs to mind straight away is pitot heat not being switched on.
Hope it's as simple as that.

Have you got the pitot heaters on.?
They could be icing up

Hello matey..
Make sure you have your pitot heaters on. While this is no guarantee you won't see it happen again, you'll have done what you can to stop it
Btw.. they're on the OHP LH side.. 4 switches (though you only have to click one and the others follow suit)

I'm pretty sure i set the pitot's on: I'm currently flying from St Peterburg to Helsinki so it's pretty cold!
I'll keep an eye out next time it happens to see if it is the pitot heating!
Cheers

You're not flying the 1-11 510ED by any chance?
Any chance you fell victim to the upside down switches on the overhead & actually have pitot heat off instead of on?

I don't believe that. No one had posted when I saw that and more to the point, there was no one indicated as browsing this forum
