Go to AVSIM downloads and search for 'Tarawa Helicopter Carrier'
This scenery file places the Helicopter carrier "Tarawa" and its escorts of strike-craft near Brisbane, Australia. All ships can be landed upon with helicopters. Although its for 2002 it works fine in 2004.
Great fun... you can land on the carrier and do short hops to the escort ships..great for practicing your landings
Regards
Jim

Would be just like the event in the Krypton Factor. Except that was a Sea King I think.

Correct! That brings back memories........
The Navy put the sim of that out as stand-alone pack either before or after the show, I can't remember. I still have the CD filed somewhere but it won't urn under WinXP

Dont know, but it was on a floppy disc. I think I picked it up at a RN trailer ages ago. Will have to see if I can find it.

Wasn't it a Lynx rather than a Sea King for the Royal Navy floppy disk?
Or am I losing my memory?
Edit:
No it was a Merlin

Hm, that's interesting.........
I'm pretty sure the one I had was flying a Sea King, but the scenario is exactly as described in that promo page.
I would have downloaded it but on the next page it turns out to be one of those '..because of increasing costs our downloads are now priced at........' sites.
Not for me, either come up front and tell us beforehand or don't post in the first place. :tuttut:
