The band...Sting, Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers, are reforming. I damn near fell out of my chair when I heard it on the Mark Radcliffe show. Apparently they are in Vancouver at the moment rehearsing for their 'surprise' come-back gig.

Any other old Police fans in here ?

Indeed.. I thought they hated the sight of one another!! I suppose money is a big draw and with enough, you can bury your differences for a while

A great live band, back in the day, one of the best gigs I ever went to (circus tent on Tooting Bec Common, Jools Holland, Wolfie Smith and Tommy Cooper were the support).

Not sure how I feel about a reunion though? I've seen Sting live at Wembley, good concert but a lot different from The Police - as a band they were all about energy, Stewart Copeland played a mean drum and Andy Summers nearly played Sting off the stage! I'm trying to work out which songs they could adapt for the lute?

I only really know Sting. He has never lost his coolness. I'm sure he's not short of a buck or two but I guess the others might be a little Harry Flint.
