Hello.......is there a something that somebody does not want us to to know? :-$

Not heard of one being damaged at Waddo or am I missing something as usual?

Just noticed on your profile you work at Asda........Been there today for my weekly shop.

Didn't see anyone around there today resembling your avatar, (only joking), so if you work the weekends might just meet up whilst the wifey does the lifting and carrying.

Hi Neil,

I didn't move them but I know who did. They were moved for a couple of reasons mate.. not least of which it was not considered 'politically correct' to have them displayed on a public forum. The descent was not from here.. but they were seen here by a dissident faction over on PPRuNE.

Seems you came close to starting open war over there!! You know what they're like.. mines bigger than yours.. mines more difficult to steer/drive/fly.. There can be some really interesting stuff over there but a lot of crap too.. much like here I suppose

I presumed you'd been informed but as that was not the case, my aplogies

I remember those photo's, I don't think that there was anything in them that was even remotely 'politically incorrect'.

I'd never heard of PPRuNE [ http://www.pprune.org/forums/ ] but having just visited their Forum & found their comments covering the 'accident damage' & the way they whine on, I don't think I shall be going back soon.

I'll stay here where its more inteligent.

Joe..

I had no issue with the shots mate. They looked like pics of just another prang and nowt to get steamed up about. However, I don't know where they were taken and more to the point, if they SHOULD have been taken. Station Commanders tend to get wound up when god know's how many pounds worth of damage have been done to an aircraft only to find shots of the incident are plastered all over the internet.. especially as it's likely an investigation is still underway. This was, I guess, at a military base and not a quick 'coming together' at LHR

Station commanders and other like them often get bent out of shape when things that go wrong under there watch and they get revealed to the public. This is all the more reason why they should be made public and not hidden from view.

Is it wise though to let the world know a vital piece of defence equipment is out of action? :dunno:

That doesn't happen over here Joe. Station Commanders would tend to end up guarding some outpost in Alaska rather than be blasted into the public gaze.. or.. flying rubber dogsh1t out of Hong Kong

There is a time and a place for everything.. perhaps this was neither
