File Description:
Essex Airstrips Scenery contains 10 private airfields, all located within the county of Essex, United Kingdom. They are compatible with the VFR GM Photoscenery coverage and prepared using the VFR Terrain Mesh, and are intended to compliment Gerry Winskill's "UK Farmstrips" Scenery. Like Gerry's scenery, the runways "follow the terrain",so that users may experience the challenge of taking off from, and landing on, sloping runways. This scenery has been tested in FS2004 (FS9) only. Strips included are: Damyns Hall, Fanners Farm, Gerpins Farm, Great Oakley, Laindon, Rayne Hall Farm, Stones Farm, Thorpe Le Soken, Thurrock, West Horndon,

I've been "flying" in and out of this type of strip a lot recently and they're jolly good fun, and quite challenging. Try them with a Storch, a Maule or, if you want to stay British, a Tiger Moth. A visual circuit to suss out the lie of the land and then squeeze her in on the exact right spot at the exact right speed.

I've just had a note from Pete Chapman, who compiled this add-on, and it seems to have got garbled in the process of uploading, he's sorting it out. There are a great many more interesting strips though, at http://www.vfraddons.co.uk/
select "Newest files" and then "List files by category" "Airfields - Farm Strips".
They'll keep you busy all this New Year's Day.
