This is a pic taken by me yesterday, of my Christmas pressie to me (Fiat Panda), in the snow which fell on the 23rd, just about 20 minutes up the road from here. The locals are saying it is the coldest time they can remember, we still find an average daytime temp of 17C warm though

Nicve pic of the countryside Trev......also of your new car, bet that cost less where you are than it would if bought here!!
One thing that always amazes me is that New York for example is on the same latitude as Madrid and in winter New York can suffer quite badly with the weather and yet Madrid is nearly all sunshine!!
Just another piece of useless information from yours truly!!
Regards Nigel.

I thought the car was good value, Nigel. 8,900EUR's (just a tad over 6.000 GBP) on the road, a 1.2 Dynamic with all the trimmings, including aircon. What's more, delivery was in 4 working days! I assumed it would take months, like most things here.
It is a super car, as much fun to drive as my little Smart I had to leave in the UK. Here is another picture, taken near the sea, where we have just seen lots of Germans sunbathing and swimming....not quite warm enough for the sea, in opinion

Hi Trev
Why did you have to leave the Smart car behind ????.
I would drive it out there if you want it.
I took a sofa to Marbella about 4 years ago for a mate.
22 hours in a hired transit
It was a fast transit
Regards
Rick

It's a very fast Transit indeed that can do the equivalent of Luton - Malaga - Luton in 22 hours - I used to reckon on nearly 5 hours in a 737 - or did you mean 22 hours each way??!!

Hi Rick, alas we needed a 4 seater in Spain. The money I got for it went half to paying for the Fiat.
I now have a UK registered Peugeot 206 diesel, going very cheap.............if anyone fancies driving her back to the UK?

Hi Trev
Just had a look at UK prices and I am assuming that this is the one you have.
http://www.uk-car-prices.co.uk/prices/f ... .2_dyn_ac/
Drove some Fiats last year found them to be quite stable and responsive though one thing I found out..........it is not usually a good idea to have the power steering switched to town driving when going fast on a country road!!!
Don't know whether the Pandas still have this function in todays models though.
Regards Nigel.

Ahhh a Smart man! I love the Smart. I had a City Coupe for 4 years and the time flew by. I'm thinking about getting another one.
It looks really nice there to be honest and is still pretty damn warm!

Don't tell me you use that girlie button!
I've had 3 Puntos now and so far, touch wood :doho:, they have been nothing but reliable, despite what alot of people still seem to say about FIATs...
