I've got it and I like it very much. I usually fly airliners from the 2d view but this model is designed to be flown from the VC which is superb.

It's nice to hand fly and the period autopilot and navigation systems add to the authenticity.

I'd say that this is a model which is better than sum of it's parts and well worth the modest price.

One niggle is the lack of a master battery switch, at least I can't find it.

I'm not going to offer an opinion here - clearly I'm very biased

But the review at the above link was for version 1 - the model received substantial upgrades to get to the current version 2, so the review isn't directly relevant.

if you want ed i could knock out a more up-to-date review - if you sell with all nodes busy.com then i can get it on there sharpish.

if not i may just have to buy it :P

I've used it to stooge round various parts of the globe - tremendous range and handles well. Watch your fuel tank management or you'll end up one wing low on a long flight!

Pity there's no BOAC seating option...

Not that I ever go back that way, but it would allow for BOAC/QANTAS repaints.

Well worth it, and the piggy bank may yet be raided for the Lanc set too.

You'd probably still have change from the Justflight Lanc on it's own.

To be honest I'm not really concerned about getting it reviewed again - given that it's over 18 months old, and I suspect it shows its age a bit now
But then - it's not an expensive aircraft, it's generally accurate and it fills a gap in the market.

Allan - the problem with the early seating option (from my point of view) was that it was very difficult to track down photos that were identifiable as those aircraft - obviously they wouldn't have any windows on the port side of the cabin, but what was the window arrangement on the starboard side? Lancastrian photos are few and far between anyway, and so we decided to stick generally with the Mk.3s.

I hadn't realised that it was a window issue. I thought it must be some perfectionist problem over seat fabric colour.

I've only ever seen the pictures of both sides of one Mk. 1, G-AGLY on the dump at Hurn. It had windows on both port and starboard sides, but others may have had different set-ups. Based on the picture from the Science_&_Society_Picture_Library of the interior of a BOAC Lancastrian the port windows must have been covered over by the folding bunks.

Ah - that was the issue - without photos attributed to a specific airframe, it's difficult to work out exactly which external configuration matches which internal configuration! A tricky business.

(I had forgotten the specific reason - it's 2 years since I was making decisions like that!)
