Hi guys + gals. Im wanting opinions on these following products....
Click
Click
Yes they are both from PC world, but thats my point, i have the PC on their PC performance cover and will have the products added to that after brought.
Now ill know ppl will say go here there or everywhere but ive had on order a 7900 GTX from Dabs.com for a week and the curriers have lost said GFX card!!! Now i got more information out of the curriers than Dabs....
Ive now reconsidered and have decided im wanting the 8800 GTS.
So please can ppl give me problems and good points of both the PSU and GFX card...
Thank you in advance
Chris

First off, Dabs have got crap customer service but the courier losing the parcel is not down to Dabs.
PC Worlds prices for the above items are pretty good although I don't rate Hiper PSU's much.
People over on OcUK have had a few issues with them and so have I but it's the best PCW have got
Also, if you intend on having those items delivered, don't expect them to be in perfect condition when they get to you.
I purchased a graphics card from PCW last year and it arrived in a cardboard box twice the size of the product with no padding. I complained but they didnt care.

whoops!
I have a Hyper 580w PSU.
It's been brilliant for the 10 months i had it and far better than the Antec one that came with my case (fan packed up in that PSU).

As you can tell. 2x 128mb 6600 GT's isnt the best sys in the world... Was going for the 7900 GTX then nvidia brought the 8800 series..
Yes i know its not dabs fault but then again they couldnt find out what was holding my package up, took me 5 mins.... im cancling on monday anyway.
Any one else got any info etc???

That card will be wasted with that CPU.

I dont know, Free AA and AF

My Cpu is a 2mb cache X2 that is pretending to be an FX60

While running FS, each core is running at less then 50%

Hi Chris
Rick what GFX card and specs are you running off that PSU???
Just a tweaked Sapphire Radeon X800 pro (tweaked to XT specs).
works great for me.
i will not buy a new MB/CPU?PciExpress card till Vista is out and new DX10 cards are tested as i think ati will be better than NV as i prefer the way ATI works with FS.
Plus
I used to play the cutting edge surfer game but why bother as in 6 months it will cost 60% of release day and i'm not dying that fast

Rick

Because the CPU will be the bottleneck in the system and therefore you won't be getting the most from the graphics card.
