Building a 1970 retro ai world

Hi Chaps,

I have started a retro 1970's UK centric era in FS9 using HJG, CBFS and any other quality modes I can find.

Yes, the frame rates suck at EGLL and EGKK but elsewhere they are not too bad as there is not the density of traffic.

Very much a WIP but I thought I'd show you where I'd got to.

Enjoy!

Cheers
Robin

Hi Robin,

That looks great. I wouldn't have a clue where to start. Are you going to 'release' this as a package for AIphobic's like me to instal?

Rgds

Fantastic! Thanks for those excellent pics. What a wonderful project - I'd love some of that if you do ever release a package.

For even more authenticity it needs some Bedford and Morris vans and of course models of Leif and I in our youth!

Excellent!!!
Some of those shots bring back great memories - there was a much greater diveristy of aircraft shapes then, compared to todays 'engines in an underwing pod' designs.

Retro 1970s

Yes I was there at that time as a passenger, we all wore suits, 1964-79.

Vanguards and later Tridents from EGLL to Edinburgh, Belfast, Glasgow.

British Eagle Britannias to Liverpool - the original Speke airport. Sad to see that beautiful acft built for transatlantic duties doing what became 'Shuttle' duty.

Kestrel DC3s at Speke.

Excellent breakfasts if one flew from Gatwick with British Caledonian to Glasgow - eggs, bacon and sausages - not cardboard food either. Do you recall the jingle for British Caledonian, a TV advert take on the Beachboys song - "I wish that all the girls were Caledonian" - not quite right but memory does not now serve as well as it used to. They all had better smiles than BA!

I came back from Belfast or Dublin on a BEA Comet once and Aer Lingus substituted a B707 'wing bender' for a B737 one flight.
