Just returned from Spain yesterday and saw Flight Simulator X in Game in Santiago De La Ribera!
Has anyone here at CBFS bought it and what are your views about it?
Is it worth purchasing the £60 version?
Will all the Classic British Aircraft work on it?
Cheers

I just don't see the point anymore of buying a
software program that works like a slide show for two
or three years untill I can afford the hardware to
run it.
the curious cat in me has spent it's ninth life
when I bought FS9.
:tuttut:
the proof is in the pudding

But I bet it still runs like a dog in a years time. Remember FS2000, MS said it would run fine with faster hardware.

We all know that wasn't true.

I know your right CB
it's time for the wool to be pulled from the eyes of the public
plus there is this Whole other issue of Vista and it's unknown
problems and the 64 bit thing....
there are just too many reasons not to buy FSX
I feel for the Developers, most of all those who sweat tears
of blood for little or no money
God Love em

Well I think the simplest way to decide, is to note on numerous forums, the amount of American users who have started referring to the latest release as;

FSuX

Guess MS are beginning to wish they'd gone with FS2006

Sadly, if FSX is not a commercial success - which is starting to look likely - Microsoft will not develop the Flight Simulator series further. Which means that FS9 will be the end of the line for us enthusiasts for the foreseeable future.

In which case any future improvements we see to our hobby will be in the form of add-ons to the existing engine.

Ian, I hate to say it but I agree with you.
The problem is MS won't look at WHY is wasn't a success.
Of course only time will tell but i think the outlook isn't looking good for FSX so far.

X-Plane anyone?
