Well, now we're into Wessex painting,anyone up to painting an 'Eric' ?

I like the last one in the 'old' Bristows scheme. Never seen one of those. 16pax.........hmmmmmmm :think:

Sykes Air I think they were called bought some ex Bristows to operate passenger services from Bournemouth to the CI
Never happened.
That upside down one I read was on loan from the museum as a ornament, they were none too happy when they saw it upside down

Totally out of place in the Residenzplatz :huf: Much better the right way up in a British museum where it belongs. I guess we should be thankful that Damien Hurst didnt chop it in half and submerge it in formaldehyde! :huf: :roll:

PS noticed a comment about Bristow Helis, on my to-do at the moment, is the AS Merlin in at least one of their schemes.

From whta I hear the helicopter museum were very happy as it got them a fairly substantial sum of money!
It also looks like it got a fresh coat of paint which is nice since it, like one or two other ex-bristows machines has been left to rot.
Just think it could be worse, they could have let RAF Colerne have it to set on fire like they did with the (poor condition but very restorable) first production whirlwind (the cockpit and useable spares are now in safe hands)
