Stuck at Kastrup

Anyone shed any light on why I got stuck at Kastrup?
I remember seeing something about 'one flight' only on some routes.
Is that true?

I know what's happened. Ben's flown a different Trident from Manchester into Kastrup after me & booked the flight back.
I've just been in to book my flight back, but it tells me no flights are available. AVFE & me are still there though.

No great problem, I can catch a bus back & collect AVFE another day, but I am curious as to why it happens like that.

Hi DM,

You are correct, for most routes there is just one flightplan for each of the aircraft types. Very unlucky Ben took the same route as you, but fortunately he was on a quick rotation and the flight was free again as soon as he landed. Unfortunately each flight gets 'locked' when a booking is made but that's how FlyNET works. It is for this reason that it is very important that pilots should not book their flight until they are ready to fly it as it stops others flying that route.

Thanks for that John. I do think I was told about that before, but it didn't sink in.
I'm surprised it's not happened to me before.

Not to worry, I took a 1-11 400 to Spain instead.
I'll go and get AVFE when I return.

Hi DM,

I've been back in Manchester since about 23:00 last night so you should be fine... even have tonights flight booked.
