Hi Guys,

I was surprised whilst searching for repaints for the Islander/Trislander that no-one appears to have done a Trislander in Loganair colours for Marcel Kuhnt's model. Just wondering if any of you talented repainters would like to tackle some for the VA ?

Hi Tony

It's says Roger Guy.but was that a new one or a mod of Marcels?

If the search is done as Loagnair a load of Islander paints come up and I think yours is on the second page

Looking at the textures of Tony's Trislander it is not Marcel Kuhnt's which is different to Roger Guy's.

I'll continue this one on Marcel's model, but at a slower pace.

But need to figure out the font for Loganair first.

Thanks Ian

How does Roger's compare with Marcels?

As to the font......it may not be a font as such especially in those days so titling often has to be made by either using a photo if good enough, modifying an existing close font or drawing them.

Check out time tables........sometime you get a clear enough print to use, copy or trace.

I recognise the font - the strange capital R - but just haven't found it yet.

A year or so ago when I was painting I had a whole heap of fonts. They are on a CD but not reinstalled since I upgraded to XP at Christmas  In fact even FS2004 is not back to where it was then.

Too much been going on...............

Edit:

And answering your first question: Marcel's texture map is one big BMP for the main objects. Roger's looks to be lots of smaller ones.

Hi Ian

Thanks for the reply......but I was wondering as a model........have you tried it at all?, rather than something to paint.

Garry,

I had forgotten all about Roger Guy's model until someone mentioned it in the forum:

http://cbfsim.org/cbfsimv5/cbfsbb/viewt ... trislander

So no I haven't tried it in FS2004.

I'd like to try Rogers model but I can only find it as freeware on a site that offered free downloads if you pay $5 once only to join :k:
