Just a reply on a recent flight from another thread. THis plane is not British, but it is a classic (B732). You can fly the Tinmouse (plane shown) with a lot of European liveries availeable. Airport is La Aurora in Guatemala.. Very challenging approach

Thanks for all the info on this approach, Macs. It's just the sort of challenge I enjoy, but I'm too busy to do it justice at the moment and I've put it in the 'pending' tray. I've had one messy attempt so would appreciate any tips you've worked out

BTW I often use the tinmouse panel with the kittyhawk 732 - it's particularly nice when lit, isn't it? Thanks for the screenshots.

Speedbird : a few hints ; set up the Rabinal VOR on Nav 1 and fly the 167 radial from it accurately. Set up the AUR on nav 2 and watch it carefully on the RMI - remember watching the tail of the needle will give you the 067, 100, 138 and 164 radials which are crucial to this. Use auto throttle to get the speed back and have the a/c at no more than about 180 kts IAS 9and preferably 160 as this is rather a tight DME arc) when passing the IAF at 9700 ft QNH. Remember to let down at each segment after passing each waypoint. Monitor the AUR DME (it will be on DME 2) carefully, and if you find you are outside the 7 mile arc, tighten your turn slightly. Make sure that your heading at any given time approximates to that implied by the chart e.g. after passing the AUR 138 your heading should be about 240 . After you pass the AUR 100 radial , switch NAV 1 to the ILS on 110.1 and identify. Once the RMI shows you passing the AUR 164 radial, be prepared for a fairly speedy turn in and immediate full landing config after making the turn

All this is a very high workload for a single pilot operation. Use the AP as much as you can, but it cannot help you with the arc - you will have to be constantly adjusting the heading for this

Good luck

Can anyone tell me how to delete the wing views from Eric's 737? I am using his 737 with the Tinmouse panel and am getting this picture (see below).

Normally I would go into the panel folder and delete textures but there is only a CFG file in there. Whats the script chaps?

You could always fly a VC10 Eddie, the wings are further aft.

I could do mate. Seeing as I'm flying something only Austin Powers would be seen in at the moment. :dunno:
