Hi Dan
Interesting how much mood can be brought into a shot with a bit of manipulation.
Maybe it's different on you machine but on the top one where the saturation is high I am seeing blui clouds.
You certainly can have fun playing with pics

Hi Garry
Yes they are bluish....guess its part of the retro environment installed, or the time off day, or something else.... ;-)
Of course the manipulation is done with an external tool (in this case Picasa from Google) the screenshot is made with a small utility I've made...(still in beta)
My personal favorite, is the middle sepia-rendering...

That's interesting Dan
Does your utility do straight shots or does it always change the aircraft to a VC 10?

Actually now you mention it, that
is a strange behaviour isn't it?

I thought the Super VC10s had thrust reversers on all 4 engines - the screen shots only show them on the outer engines.
Or is it only the underside view that shows all 4 thrust reversers?

The Protoype VC 10 had four reverser
BOAC Standards had them on the outboards only
The Supers had them on all four but later the inboards were removed

Correct Mr R
Fact is, due to the position of the engines, the reversers are not particularly effective on the VC10 and with sound reg's getting ever tighter.. there was a lot of extra noise for little improvement in stopping power over just two

It must have been worth the weight saving and mainteness cost saving as well to get them fully removed having decided they were not needed.
