Any Trident pilots like to try the updated version?

All download files have been updated. Still has the VC & non-VC models just as before.
TRIDENT_2_20061001.zip - 7 mb
TRIDENT_3_20061001.zip - 6 mb
TRIDENT_PANEL_20061001.zip - 14 mb
TRIDENT_SOUND_20061001.zip - 4 mb

Changes made
  • Full VC night lighting
Look of VC overhead switches improved (from the left seat anyway)
    NAV/GPS toggle switch added
Simulated engine 'Top Temp' limiter & Engine relight switches added
More realistic engine temperature performance (Spey 512)
EGT gauges changed to match T2/3 (think the old ones were T1)
    More accurate Thrust Index gauges
VC views panel for co-pilot position
Stall warn with stick push if not rectified
2D panel lights & VC roof lights now work independantly
Authentic sounds for stick shaker, stick pusher, overspeed, takeoff config warning, engine fires.
To avoid clutter, Toggle icons are now all on their own popup window
ADF tuning knobs move the correct numbers (as per the real radio unit)
    Smoother engine ignition
Engines respond quicker in higher RPM range, idle to full time more realistic.
Engine RPM shown in RPM gauges tooltip (was only showing % before)
    Water injection added
    APU now operational
Some of the VC nightlighting on the overhead is a bit rough looking, but it does the job.
This model is still a FSDS2 model & is for FS9 only.
It's not intended for FSX. I have to make a new version for FSX.

I'm not doing a VC10 update.
Maybe next year.

I reckon you'd like flying the Trident.

As a matter of fact, I've got all your models, I just don't flash it

I haven't missed a single update to one of your models from the day I found your site....so, must admit I've been trying them all and Garry's textures as well.......but........

Your VC10 does it for me...

DM : very nice too. I've just tried the Guatemala City 01 ILS/DME approach in a Trident 2 - in VMC I may say - and it flies beautifully - but then so did the earlier version. Haven't tried night effects yet for lighting etc. Thanks again for all your hard work

Hi Dave,

STOP, you're killing me! I'm too busy adding routes to fly at the moment. That's the 1-11 and now the Trident. I need a secretary!

John

ps No wiggly wings for the Trident?

Nice one DM, will download these ASAP, looking forward to trying the stall warning/recovery system. Having experienced the real thing, it should scare the cr@p out of me if you've got it right

Very nice DM, I took the T2 (No VC) for a spin last night. The stall warning/stick pusher works well and the cockpit views are much better. It seems to me that it also has less impact on frame rates than the earlier version (my PC is pretty low-end :-({|= ) but that is just an impression, not fact.

Thanks for giving it a try everyone.

I'm going to make the 1-11 & Trident updates available from my website on Monday.

Thanks
