URGENT! Attention all pilots : FlyNET database glitch

Hi Guys,
There seems to have been a rather large hiccup on the FlyNET server tonight and 3 large VA's have had their records dumped. It is quite possible that the server database may be reset to an earlier back-up. If this happens flights operated since the last back-up may be 'lost', unless we can persuade Konny to accept our stats records that DM collects for us.

Cheers John. Can you let us know when we get the all clear. Also, might be worth mentioning to Konny, but we have room for a couple of spare datapases on here if he wants to script an automated a backup to another site.

Hi Guys,
CBFS so far seem to have avoided the database debacle. The VA's that lost their data are still in the ether so the database has not yet been reverted to a back-up. My best guess is, that as soon as Konny sees the problem he will switch to the latest database back-up if he has one

. If/when this happens we'll lose any flights performed since that back-up was made. Don't let it stop you flying if you wish, but just be aware of what may happen.

FlyNET has now been taken down fully due to it being Hacked (according to Konny)
Looks like no flying today! ah well, I've been looking for an excuse to drag that Victor out the hangar!

Looks like flynet is going to be down for "at least one week"
And no backups were made since June
Bugger!

Hi,
Well it seems that I am fated not to get going with the VA just yet. First FlyNet posted me to Herat, Afghanistan and then, having obtained a ticket on 'Tardis Airlines' to Jersey, on my first flight from there to Le Bourget I had to learn a lesson about Flynet fuel loading, thanks for the pointer Dave and now the FlyNet system is 'out of service' for a while.
I suppose real life crews and passengers feel just as disgruntled (what is a 'gruntle'?) when the French or Italian Air Traffic Controllers go on strike!
Standing by on Jersey at my potato farm, superior B&B, holiday home in 'Soufend' - just joking!!

No backups since JUNE!!!!! :curse: Shoddy.. VERY shoddy :tuttut:
I've got withdrawal symptoms already and it's been less than a day!! :crying: Ah well.. on a plus, I can can take a zillion routes off John to route plan for him and I wondered how I was going to fit that in with my flying!

Just as long as you don't tell the missus you have a bit of extra time

Yes, not backing it up is very shoddy indeed.
Disasters have to be expected.
Don't suppose anyone else around here could develop a client to talk to FS & send flight reports?
I could probably do the website & database side of it.

I could get the site up and running DM, we have room for a few more mysql databases on here if its any use.
