Xtrawater Textures...

I downloaded these free textures recently and today I fitted them into my "Flight Environment" application. This allows me to install them or any part of them at anytime before I fire up FS9. Water textures comprise three parts...The Base Colour, the Wave Type and the Reflective Qualities. Here are a few shots using all three from "Xtrawater"

Thanks Joe...I'm afraid I have that red and black thingy switched off, otherwise I'd be bumping into things all day

That's interesting Joe...I wonder why you don't get any splash effects from the water when fin dipping...I get lots of splashes with both FS9 and FSX...Perhaps you need a contact point for the fin tip (don't really know  )

Have you thought of Peter, the difference in size between the Bandit and the 707?...If you'd zoom in to the fin on the 707 I think you'll see splashes there as well.....

Hi Peter
Sorry for the delay in getting back to your question on the splash effects. I don;t have an answer on that. I tried a few different things to narrow it down.
My guess is it has to do with the surface size or shape
that touches the water and the speed of the AC
here's one I with wheels in water and slower speed

Unfortunately, there appears to be only one spray effect in FS9, unlike the touchdown effects which can be tailored to aircraft size.
