I don't know if this is the right forum but Saitek have a new joystick coming out with twin throttle controls - it looks a bit backwards ways around but multi engined drivers might like it.
It's called the Aviator, see it at

I saw that the other day. Doesn't look exactly easy to use
Don't think I'll be buying one any time soon.

Looks like its been designed more for people to use it either left and right handed than to be able to operate in a multi engined fashion.

Looks uncomfortable.

Hrm...dunno how I'm supposed to fly with one hand in front of the stick... blocks my ability to fly when I turn left/right depending on what hand I'm using.
Hope Saitek's sales fail miserably with this one and they learn a lesson in ergonomics....

You're right there CT
I hope this does not get encouraged
I can't see how you could operate those throttles smoothly
Everything looks in the wrong place
Not a good layout at all.
The sooner they get the drop it message.the better.

I think I'll be hanging on to My X52!!

Saitek have obviously tried to keep the footprint as close to the original stick (it's predecessor) as possible.. an X52 but with the benefits of a dual throttle all in one package. It's failed for me too I'm afraid for the reasons already mentioned :huf:

I wasn't impressed with the X-45 and haven't touched a Saitek since. I think I'll stick with Thrustmaster.

I'd go for a new stick tomorrow Chirs as my old M$ PrecisionProII isn't as good as it once was but you're hard pushed to find something of the same quality and simplicity these days. Buying a joystick has become the same as buying a mobile phone.. all I need one for is making the odd call every now and again yet all I can find are ones with 3G this and WiFi and X-megapixel cameras. What happened to simple quality
