Hi Ben

That One-Eleven is partly done..........I was doing it when the new version came out and I stopped to check :worried: ...it's OK........ so I must get that finished sometime. With other project I just never got back on it

The Comet XV814 waa extensively modified and I thought the 1-11 500 had been done by someone.....or was that a later livery.

The Andover is not out yet :k:

There is no Comet 2 :k:

As toby said, i don't ask for much.

The 1-11 looks great in those original RAE colours. The comet 4 had a radio unit strapped under the front fusealage. (Maybe DM will be tempted... :worried: ) Maybe he'll be tempted to do the Comet 2 :worried: (I'm going to get a toe up my arse aren't I)

The devon looks great in the old colours too.

Seriously there are some fantastic photos in the book... Ashton,lincon,canberra,meteor,hunter... in formation!

Those kind of books are worth looking at over and over again.

Lovely looking at those old pics.

That Comet.......didn't it have a Nimrod fin as well?

But I will get the One-Eleven finished sometime........I am sure it's the one you are talking about, an ex PAL 402AP.

Hi Ben

I just checked and she's still there  .....just needs the markings applied and tarting up.

I actually put that one on my list a long time ago when you posted a pic of it.

Eventually I got round to it but as mentioned above things happened. :worried:

I am at the moment filling Vanguard gaps but hopefully I will get that one done fairly soon........like in the next few days.

Ben,

I have painted the RAE Aero Club Chipmunk G-BDDD, but never uploaded it.

Here are a couple of shots - the problem is that the texture mapping on the Chipmunk 22 model doesn't seem to allow for different colours on the top & bottom surfaces of the flaps, otherwise it's pretty accurate.

I've flown this aeroplane for more than 10 years IRL, so I would like to have got it completely right, but unless Rick has plans to revise the Chipmunk model's texture mapping someday, I guess this is as good as it can be.

If you're interested (or anyone else), I'll upload it to Classic British Files.

Cheers,

Kevin

I'd download it if it was available, Kevin. It looks very smart, so I doubt I would be the only one!

If Rick was revisiting the Chippie for FSX, maybe he might be persuaded to alter the texture mapping as well - just for you! :)
