Inspired by the excellent smokey 'Eight thread by Vegas I couldn't resist having a look at a 'propper" smoker
A light load, a nice bit of flap and full power...yay......who can resist
And of course three more pics just because...well who needs a reason!

Very Nice there Garry
I love to look at every view of an aircraft but one
of my favoritesis the first you posted.
thier 'up UP and away' :-$ a bit of qiuet envy...... I'm on the ground and thier flying, sure...... I feel a little left behind,
but it's ok, it's ok, I probably have someIhing to do,
responabilitys of my own to attend
I can be happy for them and enjoy the view
.........cough cough

Garry they are indeed stirring shots
Joe - I can make you even more envious - the first shot - I have experienced that first hand facing backwards - Some of DanAirs 4Bs had for what ever reason the first row facing backwards against the forward bulkhead - truly an interesting way to fly
Again sorry to derail the thread Garry - cheers for the stirring shots and memories

Thanks chaps....
Leif you're not derailing it at all
Nice to hear the real experience memories that these things evoked
The first pic was the post.........the others were for anyone that wondered exactly what it was and for a little extra pleasure.

Nice Garry, love that first one. I must say the Comet must be up there with the best of the classic British smokers.

Very nice indeed Garry!
That first stirs a few memories..
I've always wondered what the Comet pilots manual had to say about this steep departure profile.
No, very good!
