Hi
G-ASGK is about to go on her final leg on her virtual maiden voyage round the world (KJFK-EGLL), but alas she's down to 96.6 and I wonder if it would be to harsh for her or if she should have an overhaul....John, Dave? What do you think? Should I take her home, or should she be freshened up before this leg?

Hi Dan..
Let me go and have a look at the cost/time implication.
Be back shortly

Dan..
As GK is at 96.6, she will only have to go in for a single day at a cost of v$1,350,000. If you are happy to stay put while she's in, you'll have her back at this time tomorrow nice and shiney

Take her too much further and the maint cost will increase many fold as will the time out of service.
Will put her in now if you are happy with that

While you're at it, could you please give a drop of oil on the leftmost throttle handle, as it quirks a little...and there's some bird droppings on the right windshield....
Thanks in advance....
'ere's a fiver....don't spend 'em all at once...

Tks Dan.. the 5bucks has been passed to the appropriate person
GK
could have made the flight back ok mate but much may have depended on your landing. I can't be sure on the actual percentage number but I seem to remember John saying that taking off on 96.6 is ok but any lower and the penalities are higher. Whatever.. you have a nice overnight stay in NY so enjoy the sights and keep away from loose women

Hi,
Maint increases at 95% so guideline was for a 'round trip' A-B-A to depart with 96% or above. 96.6% should have been ample for the return unless Dan was going the pretty way or was breaking in a new keyboard but no worries.
Busy getting the pax figures up as Dave Balmer is flying his socks off over at PSA

Rgr and noted John.. my faux pas

It didn't actually help that I'd misread Dan's post first time around!!
Are the VC10 RTW flights specifically that.. set up to leave at 100% and get back below the 95% threshold??
