Looking at the size of that hole and the relative size of the cones beside it, do I take it that the driver was infact a 4yr old and the vehicle was one of those annoying little mini motorbike things? Cant see how else the combination could have been "swallowed" :k:

It does seem to be a tad overhyped...

Ah, Nottingham's roads, what memories they hold. The only one way system in England which is actually worse than Cambridge!

I'd think you right Garry
probably walked up to it
looked down and said
"yep it's a hole"

We in Florida have had sink holes that
swallow two lanes of the highway
one in the past opened so quickly
5 or six cars drove into it
Now before I induce wild images
of dungeons and dragons driving
on the highways here
it only happens every great once in a while
happy motoring

Havent been to Nottingham yet, but next time I go to Cambridge, someone else can drive. Is it mandatory for all cyclists to be on another planet and totally oblivious to any cars or pedestrians that might also wish to use or cross roads? Got lost and then stuck between buses. And it was raining

The wonderful thing about Manchester's road system is the almost total absence of direction signs.
