F1 drivers take their seats......

This should be interesting for next year:
Williams have confirmed Wurz/Rosberg leaving Webber out.
Renault have a vacant seat, are managed by Flav who also manages Webber.
Ferrari, (according to ITV-F1) will have Schumi/Kimi as their all star line-up.
BMW have already dropped JV for this week, and will not confirm that he will be back.
That should be entertaining. :dance:

Entertaining is were they ban fuel stops, remove all electronics, fit fully manual gearboxes and a clutch. give them 3.5 litre engines again and race to the finish!
The driver's skill and proper engineering is what wins the race. remember the good old days with the Lotus JPS and the Marlboro McClarens.
And did I forgrt to mention an element of risk?
Sorry, from a one time dedicated F1 fan the last 8 years have been dull as dishwater.

You can't do that. They'll get the unions involved.
By the time the FIA have finished, they'll all be driving electric milk floats.

I would say "I'll have a go", but whilst at school (where the decorators and maintenance men had a milk float to carry paint and like around the school), we attempted to, err-hem, borrow, said vehicle one afternoon and found we were unable to work out how to start it
so I dont think I'd get off the start line

Toby, it's very similar to F1 these days..............
...........there's a pedal on the right to go, and another on the left to stop.
They just need to decide which foot go's where.

How about giving them all an Austin Allegro each to race in and the winner gets the Vanden Plas cup, made from finest British Leyland Chrome.
Did'nt they have daft steering wheels like F1 cars? :think:

Would you actually find enough non-oxidised Allegros to fill a grid?
And yes Eddie, the Allegro Mk1, did have a 'quartic' steering wheel, no paddles though, unless you'd just driven through a rather deep Ford and supplied your own
