At Allnodes.....its rather a nice looking model - and flies well too
makes a nice addition for those who like open cockpits and wind in the wires
my only suggestion is that you might hunt up a more healthier radial sound than the default Vega - it doesnt have that throaty roar and whap of supersonic proptips
Oh sorry nearly forgot --
Almost Supersonic proptips
If anyone isnt sure - this is what it looks like
Cheers

I thought proptips weren't allowed to go supersonic, or am I wrong again?
Apologies if I am.

Most of the big Ham-Standard props ie T6, Stearman, Waco, N3N - are close enough to be noticeable - hence the very distinctive sound on takeoff of all of these aircraft which for reasons some scientfic type is about to tell me - seems always more pronounced in very humid conditions

Interesting..I must take a look. I know he flew Daks in the war and was infact shot down and made a controlled crash landing standing on the seat one hand on the column head out the roof hatch due to fire. He had already got the others to bail out.
He got the DFC (I think) for that.
But like a true hero he was very modest about it.

Many thanks for that, Leif.
Just one of the things that you read somewhere, and it sticks like sh!t to a blanket, but you can never remember where you read it in the first place..

Certainly is close enough to get affected Leif
The Harvard's distinctive rasp is caused but the near sonic tips.
Heralds also used to let out a chatter at time due to the tips getting into or near the no no area in certain especially damp conditions
That is also why rotors 'chop'
Aurigny Trislanders have three bladed props now to slow the speed and get away from the noisy end as the tips when right up near the sonic speed.
They may not get supersonic but props or at least the older ones got close enough to start making a noise.....literally
