today saw the return of a canadian air sea rescue cormorant, front end torn off due to a nose dive into the sea during a rescue training exercise.

Is that a version of the EH101? If there is a mechanical fault that could cause real problems.

this aircraft is the merlin h101. the canadian version is just a name change. as of today they can't say what happened, the pilot and copilot got out ok, so they will be questioned as to what happened.
