Nice one Joe
I see a problem right away (for me that is) in that the flight times are a bit long for me to get in  I feared this would happen but hoped for a few closer locations :crying: Never mind.. it's all info that will be put to good use

That must have been about the end of Lizzie flights
They used to to the LHR-Jersey route Dave.

Ah.. now then!! Heathrow is a bit on the big side for me but I'd gladly make the Jersey run in one
Cheers Garry

Hi Garry,
ANY of those locations would fit with the amount of time I have to fly 'hands on'

I understand the necessity for being able to use x4 on the longhaul routes but I'm not going there.. just not for me I'm afraid so 1.5 - 2hrs is my max. I like to do the return flight in the same day if poss hence shorthaul for me
I must dig the Ambassador out and reacquaint myself plus.. get some more time in on the Vikings for when they're introduced!! There'll be plenty of routes for the Vik that I won't be able to do but quite a few that I should be ok with

Just read that the Autair Luton-Blackpool started with Vikings was taken over by Lizzies, so that's another one in you short haul file.
Just an aside the Gatwick-Jersey operated by Dan Air was the last by an Ambassador when G-ALZO made the last ever revenue flight by the type.
It was unusual in that despite some of the type being converted to freighters it actually finished as a pax carrier.
I'll see what turns up but I know I don't have any extensive lists.

BEA used Lizzie on the Heathrow Le-Bourget run. That route did not become a standard Viscount operation until the V.802's came on stream.
So the old girl...who was quite a new old girl then  held her own aginst the V.708's of Air France.
