Twenty years off the road for driving like that.

Lifetime ban..........no less.
There again, how can you ban someone who probably doesn't even have a license in the first place? Insurance.............wot's that. MOT............nah mate, it's not my car. I just "borrowed" it for the day.
Amputate their hands...................
One hand for a first offence. Other hand for the 2nd (and final)offence.
Probably ruin their sex life as well.

I agree with your comments, these drivers are endangering others, endangering themselves and should be arrested and probably flogged.
When they fly past me in the freeway it makes me angry.
But when I am stuck in a major traffic jam for an hour or more I gent impatient and wish I could do it then, but its too late.

That's the canadian driving test for the city of montreal. next we will see the hgv driving test.

Andy,
your gob would drop if you saw the standard of driving here in canada, it's the pits. i've had people pull out from a standing start on the hard shoulder of the highway ( motorway to you and me ) infront of me as i was doing 100km with a fully loaded fuel tanker.
i just stopped in time not to squash them, last week i did squash a car that decided to pass on the left whilst i was turning left. she said that she had the right to her bit of the road, even though a tanker trl was blocking half of it. :think:

I cant see whats remotely funny or entertaining about that - Im assuming its either in the UK or Europe by the vehicles and the signs - We have idiots that drive like that every day in Las Vegas and the Police and Highway patrol
seem either powerless to stop them or lack the interest to anymore -
I hate to be a kill joy - but as my Maintenance controller Pete siad not so long ago - it sort of puts you off your breakfast when your driving home from work at 4 45 am and see Paramedics looking for a two year olds legs on the side of the Interstate because two bloody idiots racing - one of whom had his girlfriend and two year daughter (unrestrained) in the car.

Leif, there is nothing funny or entertaining about it. It's life. It happens.
Several CBFS members are current, or ex HGV drivers.You wouldn't believe what we have seen. I've been out of it forseveral years thank goodness.
I can recall one day travelling up the M1 from London up towards Luton.
Pouring rain, spray about six feet high.
I was in the nearside lane pulling 38 tons, which was then the max in the UK.
A black Mazda 323 came up the onslip, no lights, and tried to join the carriageway. I was in his way. I couldn't, and wouldn't brake because of the conditions, so he tried to excellerate along the hard shoulder.
Eventually, he decided to pull out in front of me and the back end of his vehicle collected with my front nearside.
When driving an artic, you do not hit the brakes in wet weather.
He spun about 200 yards. Everyone hit the hazard lights, and we all stopped. The whole motorway.
I ran over to his vehicle, and opened the drivers door.........................to find one of our "suntanned" bretheren nodding his head to the beat of the music, coming from the stereo headphones that he was wearing.
He didn't have a clue what day it was.
It isn't funny. It scares the sh1t out of you.
