Whilst it's not all British none of it's bad and it's all good because it's free!

http://www.alphasim.co.uk/fwd.html

The releases are:

EF2000 Typhoon Set (FS9)
The Harrier Set (FS9)
The F7F Tigercat Set (FS9/CFS2)
The CF-100 Canuck (FS9/CFS2)
and the SR-71 Blackbird (FS9)

Seems like a good deal to me!

Regards

John

Thanks for that John. I don't normally bother to check whether their freeware library has been updated, so much appreciated. I grabbed the Tigercat...might refly the TFC Tigercat's delivery flight across the pond at some point.

Got my first Alphasim payware last night...the Victor and Halifax/Halton packages. I might get a bit adventurous and buy that Johnny Foreigner B-47 contraption next.

I bought the Tigercat ages ago Paul and its not too bad. It was long in the tooth then but still performs well enough in FS9

Cheers Dave, I haven't installed it yet but nice to hear its at least passable. I'll be seeing the real thing this coming weekend at Duxford's Flying Legends airshow. Lovely looking aircraft, for sure.

The Harrier "works" in fs9. No bits missing, but you need a panel and sound for it. Plenty about on the usual places.

Since its new freeware I probably should not criticize the facts that none of the AC have functioning panels or that the SR-71's fly like jet liners.

Joe,

When Alpha let their old stuff out into the public domain, they rarely (if ever) come with panels or gauges. The good thing is they're all old enough that there's a good chance someone else has made one along the way. All you have to do is find it

Also, with the recent release of all the panel bitmaps, making one from scratch is a lot easier now anyway.

Good point Andy. I'd forgotten they'd released all the old panels too (probably cause I paid for most of em anyway)
