Constellation

I'm looking for a good quality Lockheed Constellation - I've tried Mike Stone's but I suspect I can do better with payware.
Has any one tried the model from the Super Constellation Flyers Association (
http://www.superconstellation.net)? I've looked at the Abacus one and while it flies nicely the panel is a bit simple.
Anyone know another one?
Thanks

There is the FSDZigns freeware 049 from the usual sites that is very good and comes in a variety of flavours.

I'd have to agree with Garry here. The FSDZigns Connie's are pretty darned good John. They're great to look at and have smashing photoreal panels. A certain Mr J Visser had a hand in the latter so you have an idea of just how good these things are
Not only that.. there are some great BOAC liveries out there for them so what more could a man ask
I think Calypso (John - Fiat 500 Owners Club) has the Swiss model and liked it very much as I remember

Thanks fellers, I'll try the FSDZigns model. I've used the Jan Visser et al panel with the Mike Stone model - it was that that made the Abacus one so dissapointing!

Yes, that is a beautiful plane and they are planning a VC and a Super connie too.

Hi BT
I believe they are also doing a 749 as well

Well, I've downloaded it and it seems fine.
Flight model seems better than Mike Stone's Super Connie and no worse than the Abacus one. No VC as people have said but the BOAC livery is a beaut - thanks Gary for the pointer to that.
Regards & thanks to all.

Hi John
Glad you have something you are happy with.
The TWA and Pan Am are great too and there is I think and earlier BOAC.....infact I am sure I had it before my last upgrade....the livery with the lighter blue and white pinstripes that didn't last.
But a lot of liveries availiable and all at the right price...

Not only VC, they're planning all versions up through the L-1649s (the ones that had turboprops on them for the Navy). Unfortunately, John (the designer) had several medical issues recently and they are being slowed down while all work he's done is transferred to a new designer who has stepped up to continue the work John started. We hope John gets better and might be able to do some more work in the future, but for now, we'll just have to wait a bit longer for the L-079 with VC and the L-649 (the next version being done).
