A1 Aircraft

I don't run A1 aircraft as the MFS version are a bit unrealistic to say the least.
Can anyone point me in the right direction for a free-ware version if there is one and also any info as to running it as have spent more than my allowance this month and she won't let me have a sub!!!!

....If you want high quality models which are dead light on your frame rates.
However if you want an easier answer then try

Classic propliners, jets and GA aircraft with worldwide flight plans are available. I have a second FS setup with only classics allowed.

Good find Jon, I knew this one existed but didn't know the address. I'm puzzled, are those models flyable or purpose built AI models?

I haven't tried flying any of these models. But they also have a lot of flyable propliners. Biased of course to types flying in California between about 1940 to 1960.
Most of the flyable models are Fs2000 and 2002 models updated for FS9. They aren't in the same league as Rick's and the Daves latest works but they're not bad. Some have BOAC variants, the Stratocruiser and DC7C for example. There is also some period scenery available, nothing in Europe though.
Incidently IMO a lot of what makes a good model is in the panel, both how it works and what it looks like. Fraser Mackay, Saverio Maurri and Dave Booker don't get the recognition they deserve.
