Boeing 737 seating

I am curious about a "feature" that I discovered on Monday on board a BMI Baby Boeing 737-59D.

I flew out to Amsterdam from EMA on Friday on G-BVKD in seat 15C. Seat pitch in these is not wonderful for my height but it is only about an hour's flight.

Returned to EMA on Monday on same plane. This time I had seat 22C - one row from the back.

I literally could not get into it :crying: . The space between the arm rests was too narrow to get my large body into. The stewardess tried to convince me that seats were all the same but some aircraft were different. I assured her that this same aircraft was fine on Friday.

Fortunately the row behind was empty and I moved to seat 23C - no problem.

Anyone know what was so special about seat 22C? :dunno:

Smaller seats as the airframe tapers into the tailcone?

I thought that but 23C is behind and nearer the tail

I wonder if because it was getting near the tail you were in a special narrow three but the one behind may have, because of further narrowing, gone to five abreast meaning a full size three but only two the other side.

Just a guess

Garry,

No there were 2 seats adjacent to me 23A/23B and 3 seats across the aisle.

Also row 24 had 3 seats (D/E/F) but there was no 24A/B/C (toilet?)

Whatever, if any of you fly on G-BVKD, check you don't get 23C

I'm certinly not without, the roll above my belt line is simply
a reconstruction of all the dounuts if eaten in my life,
yeah all the small ones got together and reformed inside
to make one. and it's quite apperant they were jelly dounuts
as I jiggle a bit when I jump up and down>>>>>>>>>>>>> :yipeee:

kinda.......
