Software request

I am looking to buy a couple of pieces of new software in relation to our teddy bear business and I wondered if any one had any ideas as to where is the best place to get a decent discount to purchase software from here in the UK.
The first one I need is 'Adobe Acrobat 7 standard version for Windows'. I have done a bit of 'Googling' but not as yet turned up a good discount price.
The other one is slightly more obscure, it is a CD/DVD Rom authoring software by a company called Indigo Rose and is called 'Autoplay Media studio 6'
Just a long shot I know but if anyone has a copy of either of these programs that they may wish to sell, then by all means PM me and let me know.
Regards.

I don't know if you just want to create .pdf files, but if that's the case I find that cute pdf writer does the job very well indeed - and it's a free download.

Thanks for the response so far chaps...the CutePDF looks an option but the PDF files I create will end up on a commercial CD/DVD ROM so need to be absolutely compatible with all users worldwide and they need to be able to view the files and print them without too much hastle. Acrobat is the preferred choice as I can include the free reader on each disc (under licence from Adobe)
Not dealt with Ebuyer before...looks the best price so far but a quick 'Google' on the name has thrown up plenty of bad comments that seem to indicate that this company has had its problems in the past as the net seems chock full of bad stories for Ebuyer regarding delivery, back up etc...
Will keep looking I think.... but thanks for the suggestions so far..
Regards.

Just recieved my Saitek X52 from eBuyer - no probs
If you want the Pro version it will cost around £300 and the Standard £200. Seldom will you get a much cheaper option with an application specific piece of software. One thing you might consider would be to buy an older version of the software (as long as it does what you require) and download the free reader from the net. Much cheaper option and the files can still be read by the newer versions???

Why not try the free PDF maker with your intended input?
If it all works ok and the output looks like it should in Acrobat Reader, then there should be no problems.
The differences between Acrobat and the free ones is likely to be how they handle graphics and fancy set up.
Or go for one of the other PDF creator (off the top of my head: JawsPDF (
http://www.jawspdf.com/), easy PDF creator (
http://www.pdfdesk.com/).
Download the trial and see if they do what you want.

Echoing what Ian said, probably Acrobat 7s greatest advantage is handling graphics etc. I've had occasion a few times recently to send scanned stuff over to a few of the guys on the forum; what can originally start off as a 70MB file can often be 'optimised' down to a 4-5 MB file - I emphasise 'often', as it hasn't worked too well a few times, but that could just be down to lack of experience on my part.

Ok...thanks for all the suggestions and ideas on the PDF part....I am currently 'negotiating' with someone who has Acrobat 7 and has little use for the program any more and hopefully is about to decide to sell it on at a favourable price..
Thanks once again.

I've also used ebuyer with no issues. It's like any company, you will always see complaints but never hear of any praise.
