And had a great time, especially enjoyed seeing the F.86 Sabre opening the display.
I was really looking forward to seeing the Comper Swift fly but sadly it taxied out to the runway threshold and promptly went U/S!
Oh well this was a rather amusing scene!

The chief pilot did a fair bit of aircraft shifting today. Here he is moving the 1912 Blackburn monoplane to the other end of the airfield!

Nice Black and White mate - if not for the runway boundary marker in the left background - you might be back in 1921ish

I love the brisfit as well
Im surprised the Old Warden has changed so little since my day

Thanks Leif, I think the B & W works well for shots like that.
I've always been fascinated by the Brisfit, the way the lower wing sits away from the fuselage makes it look like the fuselage is just floating between the upper and lower wings.
I must admit though, I prefer the silver colour scheme it wore when I first saw that particular aircraft as a child.

I remember the scheme you refer to well - that would be in the mid to late 60s - the lacing on the fueslage was what fascinated me like a big old rugby ball - trying to think who used to fly it back then - was it Des Penrose???
