Wow! I really enjoyed that...sent it on to a mate in NZ...They have a lot of Warbird Harvards at Ardmore and they would love to see that

seen this before. (On april fools of all days) stunning flying. but i did wonder, all it would take is one of them to sneeze, and bang, in the water.
Im not qite sure if this is more dangerous than lowflying or not, obviously its slower...but hey. I do wonder what the various aviation authoritys say.
Never the less, i am of the opinion that low flying, or wet runways for that matter, is skilled flying, and authough its dangerous, when its done properly, its perfect, and as i said, skilled.

You pose an interesting question there Fred. I never got to find out what happened to a FRADU Hunter we had to go and find some years back. He was obviously working at the time (with one of our frigates) which involves flying low and at speed then nothing.. and he was gone :sad: Sure.. that is nothing like what these boys were up to in the Harvards but it makes you wonder just how far into the water those wheels would have gone before they dug in :think:

Look what happens to float planes when they land with their wheels down
The are not very deep wheels but boy do they dig in
As to this I feel it is different flying private stuff like that to the fighters shown at low level recently
If the fighters crash they cost us millions it's not their aeroplane to risk.
Also they have wasted a military weapon system that may be needed before it can be replaced so in a way too much of that could affect national security.
But here if they want to risk at their own risk fair do's
I think it will be fatal one day someone will slip but that's the thrill.
