Any help regarding settings VR

In MS2020, I have been trying to get the best settings for the Oculus 2 first starting with default settings then working my way up or down depending on the visual quality.

Firstly, it appears that VR is better in MS2020 than in X-Plane 11 however, when flying in clear weather (no clouds) the horizon appears to be overly bright and with clouds, where I presume the sun is, the visibility is ruined by being very bright. Have 2 screenshots without cloud taken from VR and it seems as though the brightness is rather like contrast being too high.

I have an i7-900K not overclocked 32 GB RAM RTX 2070 not overclocked.

One thing that I have noticed and still trying to work out the setting is the Render Scaling, being set higher seems to improve visuals but can affect performance. If any-one can give me advise on settings for VR would be extremely welcome.

Hi Nigel - I don't do VR either (yet), so it might be worth your while going to the dedicated forum at Avsim:

Hi Dale, no worries. I only use VR on some occasions and not all the time as when flying X-Plane 11 I have X-Camera (free version) and XP Realistic which gives all the sounds and movement such as touch down, if you flare too late and hit the runway the camera view and sound certainly lets you know. It does work in VR but have to have a minimum frame rate of 45 for it to work properly. In any case, using Head Tracker I do get better visuals and can crank up the graphics but on occassions I do like the VR Experience once in a while.

Paul, very many thanks for the link, will have a good read up and see if I can improve VR over to what I have presently.

Again, many thanks gentlemen!

Regards
Nigel.

They've been having connection problems at Avsim in recent weeks, so you might have to try several times. I'm pretty sure you'll find your answer there, however. Overall, Avsim is a very good resource for MSFS, so well worth becoming a member. :)
