I need some help!!

I have been battling external views on MS2020 for about a week now and failing miserably. Been trying using keyboard commands to set outside view then be able to circle the aircraft and also to look up and down at it then get back in. But whatever settings I select and save they don't work. I even got outside the aircraft then had to come out of the game as no amount of trying it remained an outside view and me a spectator!!
This has turned out to be a mind bending exercise. Could some-one please tell me how to do it for the keyboard, I want to use the four arrow keys beside the numbers I did save the settings but alas did not work.
Many thanks in advance.
Regards
Nigel.

I don't think you can do what you are trying to Nigel. I've not delved too much in the camera views but I've read they are not changeable (maybe that info is out of date). If you want to take outside views of the aircraft whilst in flight, (showcase) I use the drone cam. But then again you can't set preset views with it. I recently setup an old thrustmaster joystick where I use the twist as nose wheel steering. I want to be able to use it to fly the drone cam, but not got round to it yet.

Thanks for your reply Dale, have to look at all the key commands and try to memorize them.

This guy shows you how move the cockpit cam outside the aircraft. It allows you to get external shots of the aircraft. Interesting

Not ignoring you, Nigel - I don't know the answer, I'm afraid. I just go to external view and move the mouse around, or use an X-Box controller for the drone cam.
