From 1953 to 1961 when they used PProv T.1's.

I've searched but to no avail so far.

The school itself apparently went through numerous changes, being disbanded, then revived.
Nobody seems to be divulging that information for it, not even the downloadable PDF of RAF callsigns.
Seems to exist for putting university attendees into the Air Force, with locations all over Britain.
I'll have some more digs, but who knows if anything is out there?
Perhaps some of our Members attended?
EDIT: FOUND THIS, WHICH SUGGESTS THE CALLSIGN WAS "X" at one time, but if 6FTS operated from different airfields, would they all use the X?
We need an RAF communications person; what about Den (511 Flyer)?

I do know that when 6 FTS where at Finningley in the 90's,their call sign was "Foxtrot Yankee Yankee" followed by two or three digits
to signify whether the aircraft was single or twin engined.

Post-war when at Ternhill, they operated Harvard then Prentice and then the PProv.

The other operator of the PProv at Ternhill was 7 FTS.
