Well, Joe,
I did it.
I removed legs 1 & 2, or was it 3 & 1?....
thus transforming my tripod into a monopod.
It works fine, but I can't post a picture because it keeps falling over while I'm getting the other camera.

They make a monopod tripod stand to help with that pesky problem.





Or you could try replacing leg 1 and remove 2 and 3.. 1 is the strongest leg. That's why it's first

Take a picture of it laying down. The tripod, not you. Then rotate the picture.
