Scary new world

I have often said that "The Fifth Element" was the scariest film I'd seen.
For those unfamiliar, the whole World was controlled by a businessman; his organisation decided who worked, had accommodation, etc.
Last night's documentary showed us that that future is here, except instead of the manic businessman, it's a totalitarian government.
We all trade with them, and some of their own people don't mind being tracked 24/7, because it makes them feel "safe".
The facial recognition cameras let the powers know who you meet, where you shop, whether you are pro - government. Anyone who does not meet the required credit rating has their rights curtailed. A reporter who spoke against the powers had his social media account blocked; whenever he opens a new one, they find it and block it too. He can't even buy a fast train ticket.
Oh, and these people run some Australian power stations and have their security cameras in Defence premises.
